Muryar Arewa is operated by Zamkah Technologies Limited. Listening and discovery are available without an account.

Information used by the service

Optional accounts use your email address, display name, preferences and authentication information. Account features store favourites, follows, reminders, listening activity and recently viewed or opened services. Device sessions help secure your account.

We collect first-party activity events for product operation and aggregate reporting. Starting audio, opening a service and following an external publisher are separate events. Broadcaster reports do not expose individual listener histories. The app does not request precise location or microphone recording.

Security and storage

Production API connections use HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and server session tokens are retained as digests. The Android app uses SecureStore for its session credential. These measures do not mean that all stored activity is encrypted end to end.

Other providers

Playing an authorised live stream connects your device to the broadcaster's stream host, which receives network information such as your IP address. Opening an official publisher link leaves Muryar Arewa and is subject to that provider's privacy practices. External email and push delivery are currently disabled.

Your controls

Account settings provide session revocation, independent history clearing and notification preferences. Deactivation prevents login but does not itself erase retained data. Our documented analytics policy specifies an initial 90-day retention for identifiable raw events and up to 36 months for anonymous aggregates; operational audit records have a separate lifecycle. Verified ordinary-listener deletion removes associated identifiable account and activity data rather than merely deactivating the account. Only non-identifying aggregates, a minimal completion receipt and specifically documented retention exceptions remain; the helpdesk explains any applicable exception and period.
